They decide to choose immortality. What happened to them? No one knows. They will never be able to have a real life again, and have bored themselves of being able to have it all. But they taught their descendants on the dreamworld about their difficult choice, so maybe they'll be more prepared when the occasion reveals itself. The original dream refugee has now gone to an eternal sleep, and will only be awakened when time comes to die inside the dreamworld itself.
As time is ending, this person decides to check on the outer world, only to see how much it is scary and destroyed. They have a choice: either return once and for all to their dreamworld, or stay on this world destined to be ended. If they stay on this world, they'll die, but if they return to their dreamworld, they'll suffer immortality and never be able to die again.
This song was made in which is known as the brightest mode: Lydian. It is not an exclusively happy song, though. It was originally made to represent the forgotten sacrifices people have done. When I put here on OS, because of some differences about the website like tone, and variations I put here, I decided that what fit more with the song was "Escaping life to the Dreamland", as in a person who is too tired and fed up with real life, and decides to return to the dreams of their childhood, never to return.
