So when I was a teenager back in the '80s, there were a lot of these cheap Yamaha keyboards sold in department stores. One of their selling points were the many "rhythms". It was a neat concept that could be used to create interesting sequences, but alas it never really felt like the music was truly mine because it was their bass, their arpeggios, their drums... There was no way to make your own! Now with the help of a midi sequencer and the magic of copy and paste, I can try out a long time dream of mine.
