⁶ Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding a live coal that had been taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.
⁷ The seraph touched my mouth with it and said: “Now that this has touched your lips, your guilt has departed and your sin is blotted out.”
Isaiah 6:6-7
If God needed to sacrifice His son, then He is not more powerful than sin. If God did not need to sacrifice His son, then He chose to cause Jesus immense and unnecessary pain and grief.
He chooses to grant eternal life only to his worshipers who beg for forgiveness for being born into a sinful world and He chooses to damn everyone else to eternal suffering.
I don't believe that the Christian God exists, and if He does, he is not worthy of praise.
I didn't say that I don't believe there is a god.
I understand that you have probably been raised Christian and have been told that your entire life. So was I! I urge you to consider a few things.
God is all-powerful and all-knowing, but He couldn't or wouldn't prevent His only begotten Son from needing to suffer gruesome torture and death to remove our sin. Why is that and what did it actually accomplish?
how could you possibly not beleive there is a god? If there wasn't a god then where did we come from.. btw theres more than life than just being kind to others and yeah yeah being good - it's actually that god sent his only begotten son to remove the sins that WE made, so we could live in life eternal. I say the 2nd most important thing in the whole world is to come to Christ, and the 1st most important thing is making sure you can do the second most important thing.
