Note to self: Add second verse before first chorus
note 2: maybe have last chorus start quiet leading into beat drop
The rough draft for a chorus I had goes something like:
________________________________
CHORUS
Have you ever felt so elated,
medicated, masked and jaded?
Told myself that I wouldn't take it
Until it crashes down
Have you ever felt something breaking,
hands are shaking, I can't take it
(last 4 bars of chorus)
________________________________
POST-CHORUS
No I can't take it now
Oh, no
________________________________
PRE-CHORUS
(m. 42) I just can't stay away
And then it has more lyrics that hopefully fit the loose theme of using drugs (prescribed or not) to cover up the effects of a larger underlying problem without actually fixing it or smth idk it's the first draft and I *****ing suck at making lyrics
I was stuck at measure 17 for like a week until I realized "oh wait I already made another foo fighters type riff at almost the exact same tempo and in the exact same mode like a year ago"
