As you enter the Reactor Room of the Space Colony, the Baby Metroid screeches a plea for help. Approaching the Metroid, two glaring orange eyes open, spying on you from a little higher than where you're standing.
As the eyes' owner emerges from the shadows, it grabs the Infant inside its container and starts to rise, flapping its scarlet tinted wings. Somehow, from an unknown cause, your nemesis found you...
