just. wanted to try and see if i couldn't make it look right with the power of A Calculator*

(*okay, so what i mean by this, is the sheet music of Master of Puppets has the little 'EGAGA' section, examples being sections 58, 130, and most notably 309, in... 21/32. that, for those who aren't going to do a quick google search to find out, is basically '5/8 measure with an extra 1/32nd note'. which, if you've charted with online sequencer before, is... not a note fraction you can make naturally. /)
(/ so, what i did to make it work was A: go find a sheet of MoP (Songsterr is both my crutch and my curse), B: chart the verse riff in a separate tab, C: calculate how much time (if played inhumanly) each section lasts for in 212 bpm, D: figure out what the hell a 21/32 measure section would even look like in 212 bpm (basically, it's 5 3/4 notes, but the latter four are stretched by a 16th), and E: use the little clock button up on top of the keyboard to measure out, to the .000th decimal point, EXACTLY what BPM i'd need to set to make it congeal JUST right with the rest of the normal ass 4/4 track. /)
(/ i eventually landed on making the fourth/eighth/etc.th section of the verse riff run at 352 bpm, and switch it back down to 212 for the following section(s). all of that jargon to say that this specific section made me use my head for once. And God Damn do i appreciate that.)
(cont: and then the rest of the solo charting for today went surprisingly smoothly? it's not finished yet, of course, but... it's going well. anyway. seeya later)
