The Haas Effect is when the panning from one ear to the other is offset by mere milliseconds to make a wider sound. The odd numbered measures are two of the same instrument overlapped with different panning, and the even measures are the exact same but with a very slight offset. I think it really works at making a wider sound.
If you're wondering how the offset is even quicker than a 1/16 note it's because I moved a 1/12 offset note using the 1/16 grid. Easy!
