So, I'm triggered by people saying that they make better, longer music with more notes.

I'm hosting a week-long contest in which the contestants make the longest original song with the most notes to win.

Length is counted by the exported MIDI's length (measures) , and notes are of course counted by the "select all" function.

All entries submitted after the timer ends will not be accepted.

The countdown starts now.

I will make a leaderboard as soon as an entry is submitted.

one thing to note though: only 1/4 and 1/2 notes can be used

Some examples of rule-breaking:

1. Make normal song
2. Copy all of the notes to a different instrument, set the volume to 0
3. Copy and paste those until your computer crashes
4. Win

I know i suck at explaining-

so, all notes must not be silent in your entry.
Ambition but remove all the electric piano
A brief update to the contest:

since there aren't any submissions yet- (well, even I forgot to submit my entry on the deadline)

I am extending the contest up to 28th Oct.

Good luck.
What if someone copy and pasted sections until their computer crashed?

Well I'm basically doing the same thing-

The only actual rules in the contest is that you can't copy and paste all the notes and paste them in a different key in the same place (no spamming), and only 1/4 and 1/2 notes can be used, also no muting.
I'm submitting my entry.

Leaderboard:

1. Crimson - War Cry (144 measures, 10411 notes)

Brief reminder of the contest:

Yes, it's ending in 13 hours. Submit your entries before it's too late and my contest will turn out to be a flop.

I doubt anyone has worked on it though...
I'm closing the contest...

Yeah, I'm the winner as no more entries has been submitted.

Yay me ;-;
Scratch that. I'm reopening the contest.

The new deadline is Nov 4-

no contest ever has only one competitor...

Leaderboard: (correct me if I make a mistake, I can't count)

1. Crimson - War Cry

(144 measures, 10411 notes)

2. XStep - Kaleidoscopes

(102 measures, 8862 notes)
