Hey everybody on OS, welcome to the official music thread of ★LTEDTX298★ and video game / anime MIDI arrangements! Before I list off the links to the MIDIs I have created so far, here is some interesting facts about myself! (I know the order of the stuff is all over the place but it’s all right xD)

-My real name is Logan, LTE are my initials
-I was born on October 14th, 2000 in Indianapolis, IN, moved to Connecticut in June 2001, and have been living here in Ohio since the summer of 2004 / 2005
-I have been a Doujin music fan since the summer of 2015
-I started getting into MIDIs in March 2017 when I found out the Wayback Machine (web.archive.org) was a thing
-My inspiration is the two arrangers from the circle Dark PHOENiX, Yu- and Shion Himekawa
-I like other synth rock Touhou related circles like Sonic Hispeed Omega / Hybrid Orchestra but also more professional ones such as Demetori
-I have been playing the Clarinet since 2011 and am now 6th chair in the top wind ensemble band in my high school
-I am a YouTuber going under the name of polygon298 currently circled around gaming and Doujin music (by other artists) videos
-I used to be (and I still kind of am, only a little) a big Mario / Nintendo fan, and a really competitive Mario Kart player back in the day (had a couple former WW tops in MK7 and MK8, and BKTs on custom tracks in MKWii)
-I currently own a Nintendo DSi XL (Super Mario 25th Anniversary Edition), Aqua Blue 3DS, Wii and Wii U. I might also be getting a Switch for Christmas but since i’m 17 now I can’t guarantee that i’ll get anything I want just by asking xD  -Beginning in early 2011 the username polygon298 emerged from Flipnote Hatena on the DSi, where I posted flipnotes with 1 minute recordings of Mario / Nintendo (maybe a Sonic Colors one as well) game soundtracks with pictures (kinda like the MIDIs of YouTube videos eh?)
-In November 2011 I created my YouTube channel
-I have been a competitive runner since May 2013 when I broke my middle school’s all-time mile record in gym class with a 5:29.737
-Last year I was the 3rd fastest runner on my high school cross country team and together we won the Ohio Boys D1 State Championship (I placed 38th in the state’s division 1 individually that race, and 20th this past November).
-My cross country / track PRs are: 15:50.6 for 5000m (XC; 2016.11.13), 10:20.75 for 3200m (XC; 2014.09.20), 9:50.4 for 3200m (T&F; 2017.05.03), 4:27.32 for 1600m (T&F; 2016.05.27), 1:53 low~mid relay split in 4x800m (T&F; 2017.06.02), and 0:52 low relay split in 4x400m (Indoor T&F; 2017.02.12)

Finally, here they are! Below are the links to all the MIDIs I have created since I started one month ago today! From Beloved Tomboyish Daughter to Ladybug are short tests that were made in just one day’s work to see if I liked OS / creating MIDIs in general, and to become more experienced with DTM before I attempted to make full songs (starting with Search from Shizuku).

I haven’t been very active on my YouTube lately because of recent changes to my life that I’m not used to yet, and I haven’t found fun in working hard to make the same videos I have since the start of 2016 (Doujin music ones), so on 2017.11.12 I decided to try to work on something new, and this something was creating my own music! Often times in the past, I had thought that creating MIDIs similar to the ones I am creating now would require an electric drum set, piano and guitar hooked up to a sound source such as the Roland Sound Canvas SC-88Pro or Yamaha MU2000, and it was only a month ago that I realized it was just as simple as visiting Online Sequencer! I’d say I created my first test, Beloved Tomboyish Girl, as a joke with how short it is and how little elements there are to it, but after I imported it into Direct MIDI to MP3 Converter on my laptop and saw how it sounded exactly as if it were created using an SC-88Pro, I became more involved in OS day by day, and as of now I have five full songs for you guys to enjoy and counting! So far I have just focused on creating “ear copy” MIDIs, sequences that are very inspired to the original tracks and don’t have many original components to them, but as time goes on and I become more experienced with music creation in the future, I would like to be making more original stuff, such as arrangements of tracks that are very different from their originals or even my own original compositions! One thing I am looking forward to is composing the music for my friend’s video game, which is still a WIP right now but I can assure you; it’s gonna be lit! (XD you’ll never hear me say that again but still, it’s gonna be AWESOMENESS!!! ;). I started posting my tracks on SoundCloud so that way my friends could hear my work, even if they don’t like the genre / origin of the music as much as I do; high schoolers love to check out other kids’ SoundClouds more than anything else music-wise! In order to get my MIDIs to sound like they do as MP3 on SoundCloud, I use my MIDI to MP3 converter program I mentioned above and select SoundFont Conversion. After that, I usually optimise the MIDI channels to the volume of my liking, press convert and that’s all there really is to it! :D I will admit that the overall track volume isn’t as loud as I’d like it to be, but there are solution options available for that in the future, like adding extra layers of all the notes on the OS sequences for example (probably not optimal but we’ll just have to wait and see what works best! :). Nonetheless, all of my tracks so far are available for free download on my SoundCloud right now, except for the Smooth Synth version of Far-Distant Hometown from Final Fantasy V, but I plan on updating and finishing all of my test tracks in the near future! Despite what I do, I am not the biggest fan of anime ever, although some shows have touched me emotionally, especially Kanon, my music creation right now really just is inspired off of what the two arrangers from Dark PHOENiX (Yu- Inai and Shion Himekawa) were doing in their early stages as musicians. Ever since March, I have really loved Yu-’s SC-88Pro MIDIs he made in 1999-2003 and Shion Himekawa’s S.S.H. inspired Yamaha MU2000 MIDI arranges from various CDs released throughout 2003-2006. I’d like to get my hands on both of those sound sources one day; I was thinking about asking for the Sound Canvas this Christmas and even for the Yamaha MU last year, but I made the decision to hold off getting one for at least another year in late November simply because I didn’t think I was experienced enough with creating DTM (I mean I had just started less than a month ago at the time) and I didn’t like the idea of my dad spending hundreds of dollars on something that was that new to me (I’m 17, I should have given up asking for free stuff for Christmas years ago haha! XD). Oh, and about asking for the MU last year; yeah I really don’t know what I was thinking back then! (I didn’t even know what MIDIs were, I didn’t even know what the abbreviation DTM… for Desktop Music stood for, all I knew was that Shion Himekawa had solely used something called the MU2000 to arrange the「Re:Birth」CD he released in October 2003, a CD I was really into at the time, and that was it!! I’m 100% sure I didn’t even know what a sound source was or did back then either xD, but hey at least it was the littlest bit okay for me to ask for one this year since I’m a little more educated about them now ;). The sources of both Yu- Inai and Shion Himekawa’s old MIDI and newer more professional arranges kept on coming back while I grew big time on them, and since I enjoyed their music (the arranges versions, more importantly at the time xD), I thought I would give them a try and actually experience their goodies for myself! Inspired by Dark PHOENiX, I started playing the Touhou games in early 2016 and had even normal 1CC’d MoF, EoSD, and PBC by the end of the year, and almost beat IN as well this year (not that much of an accomplishment to the hardcore fans out there but I still did it xD!). Later in 2016, I also decided to watch some of the Yu- and Shion Himekawa’s favorite visual novels’ anime adaptations, starting with To Heart: Remember My Memories fresh off of listening to Yu-’s July 2002「Heartful Drive」CD, then hitting my personal favorite so far; Kanon, as a fan of the December 2003「UN-DIVISIONAL」CD, and finally ending the year off with AIR, again being obsessed with Shion Himekawa’s「Re:Birth」and a couple of Yu-’s BIRD'S-VERSE / Tori no Uta arrangements back then (at least that’s how I think it went down lol!!! ;). Believe it or not, back when I was first getting into Dark PHOENiX and downloading all the albums for my first time in the Summer ~ Fall of 2015, I used to really despise Touhou and not be fond of anime stuff in general. All I liked was the music, and Mario Kart; I even considered myself an extremely dark Touhou ex-fan because of how much I disliked the games (I hadn’t even tried them at the time) yet still found so much passion for the music! Remember: it never hurts to try new things; that’s for sure xD, because it’s possible that you could soon be fanboying over it to your friends and making your own MIDI arrangements based on it 2 years later! (I’m just saying lol xD). Anyways, even though I haven’t had any motivation to return to my YouTube channel and consistently upload doujin music related content since August (I started putting things off in the earliest tint of June whilst summer break was making me lazier by the day, and even failed to get things out at the end of April, the End of Spring (please somebody out there get that reference xD), very important things they were… and although I worked so hard, it lowered my confidence levels tremendously that point onward), I am going to try to bounce back from everything i’ve been through and finish the year off strong, and although I can’t guarantee any promises, I will certainly try (I have so many videos just waiting to be made, you better believe it!!! ;D). All right everybody, if you have come so far as to make to down here, i’m sure you have learned even something else about me; I tend to write a lot for fun sometimes!! XD just take a stroll through some of my old YouTube video descriptions from late 2016 ~ early 2017 haha! As you may have noticed as well, the format of my writing is also a little interesting, and has evolved over time xD! And that, my friends is all I really wanted to say for this first long full scale college length essay post in this thread! I will leave y’all off with this though; guess what guys, I am officially open for song requests!!! That’s right; if there’s ever a specific song from a specific video game, anime, visual novel, etc. that you want me to make, I will definitely be all for it!! Please don’t be offended if I don’t end up making your request though; it will always be because the song is too hard to recreate (remember I just started with this whole thing a month ago xD), or I am working on other things, but I will most certainly take everybody’s requests To Heart!! (Get it?! Ok i’ll stop with the references xD!!!). I am sorry that this post was so long (it’ll definitely be the longest post you’ll see from me here, unless it won’t xD but at least right now I don’t have any plans to write another one like this! ;), and that I use exclamation points at the end of almost every single sentence!!!!!!!!!!!! (I always do that; blame my YouTube descriptions xD!!!). And finally, I am sorry for any typos made by this 17 year old who stopped proofreading his stuff once YouTube no longer accepted the length of his descriptions!!! And with that, I hope you all enjoyed reading through all of this nonsense if you did, and regardless of whether you did that or not xD, I hope you all enjoy my music for countless MIDIs to come! Bye bye everybody!!!

~I’ll be back on the thread posting new updates featuring my new songs + exclusive stuff soon! ^^
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume that was a reference to Your Lie in April (I'm really sorry if that's not it lmao). I do a similar thing on here. I enjoy recreating OST's and things of the sort. I actually just started working on the entirety of the OST for the show - that is the songs that I find important/significant. I don't really know exactly what it is you get your inspiration from, despite you explaining it quite clearly, though that's mainly my fault for simply not knowing what it is. I look forward to seeing you around in the future.

In the situation that you were legitimately referencing Your Lie in April (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso), here are a couple of the songs that I've finished if you're interested!

I'm currently working on a few as well, my favorite being this one:

Thanks for stopping by! :D At the End of Spring actually refers to the Touhou Project (specifically the Touhou 12: UFO Stage 1 theme) and the To Heart towards the end was a little play on words, since To Heart was one of the Leaf visual novels / animes I mentioned. I often tend to make references to stuff that only my YouTube subscribers would get, so it's completely my fault! (Your Lie in April was a great guess though and I can see why you may have thought that). I've heard of YLIA before but I've never gotten around to watching / reading it xD! You've got some really nice sequences up there though, and I will definitely take more listens! Also, i'm sorry for not stating my inspiration as clear as it could have been last night; to reiterate a bit, in 2011 I was introduced to Dark PHOENiX through YouTubers who used their Touhou Project arrangements in their Mario Kart videos (one of the first ones I heard happened to be their take on At the End of Spring xD). Back then I didn't know what the Touhou Project was or even understand what the two words Doujin circle meant, but I favorited the songs I was introduced to anyway. It wasn't until the summer of 2015 that I really started to get into them, by downloading each and every single one of their collaborative albums together, and start listening to other Doujin music artists, like Demetori as well! I eventually got myself into the Touhou series and its games by themselves in 2016, and considering all that I've listened to over the years, Dark PHOENiX remains as my favorite circle. I have also gotten myself into the two individual members of the circle; Shion Himekawa, whose website was called LOST IN THE DARKNESS, and Yu- Inai, who still to this day arranges music for his own circle named PHOENIX Project. In the early 2000s, in both of their early stages of arranging music, they used the sound sources I mentioned, the Roland Sound Canvas and the Yamaha MU series to create their MIDIs. They both found interest in arranging stuff from similar sources that my MIDIs are based off of, and started working on arranging music together as the unit Dark PHOENiX in as early as 2003! I too have found interest in those same sources (visual novels / anime, RPGs, etc.) ever since I heard their work, and plan to have fun creating my own MIDIs and MP3s for everyone to hear and enjoy! I hope this cleared things up a bit, and thanks for taking the time to comment here again! :)

I mean I was interested in your life story, but at least add some spaces between what you write, it's kinda hard to read in one huge block. I don't care about the cringiness of the content as long as I can read it, therefore your YouTube descriptions are irrelevant in this matter.

~Enjoy!
Hello OS MIDI DTMers and fans, long time no see!! :D over the past several months, school had been owning me like never before and I was really busy, so I didn't manage to complete a lot of new songs, however, I did indeed spend some time improving my DTM specs!! I went from making MIDIs on Online Sequencer and converting them to MP3s using PistonSoft's Direct MIDI to MP3 Converter in late 2017, to importing an Online Sequencer MIDI into FL Studio 12 and completing it in December last year, to thinking about fusing Online Sequencer and FL Studio's Roland GM/GS Sound-set soundFonts into Direct MIDI Converter and thus creating MIDIs solely in FL Studio for the most part starting in early 2018, to downloading various VST plugins similar to Roland SOUND Canvas and Yamaha MU series soundfonts for FL Studio also in early 2018, to then making around a $20 purchase of SOUND Canvas for iOS and importing my MIDIs into the app in late January, figuring out how to record them through the GarageBand app around the same time, and by the time it had become June, and I had made much bigger purchases such as the full version of FL Studio "Fruity Edition" ($99) and SOUND Canvas VA VST plugin ($125). So to summarize that GIGANTIC run-on sentence of mine back there (school is over so I didn't really mind making one lol xD), I have pretty much moved on from the DAW known as Online Sequencer as the primary source to make my music and am pretty much situated with all the sounds that I could ever ask for right now in FL Studio (except for the Yamaha MU series stuff, but I downloaded the OmegaGMGS2 VST plugin for that so I'm all right for now at least Wink, but don't worry, because the Online Sequencer MIDI sequence uploading action from the LTEDTX will not be ending anytime soon!! (Or I guess if you think it ended back in December, it's gonna come back out SWINGING again y'all: and it already has with my not-so-brand-new original song "As Time Goes on and on" MIDI I imported into the website and modified a little bit cuz there's only so many octaves this thing can handle lolz xD https://onlinesequencer.net/849319). Regarding the song a little bit, I actually working on it on and off in my music theory class throughout April and May (on Online Sequencer of course, cuz you can't get FL Studio 12 on your Chromebook at school haha!! XD), and it was a final project in the class where we had to compose lyrics to my teacher's original chord progression (with little to no inversions; cuz we hadn't learned those at the time yet and only after the final project we did it lol), and record ourselves playing it or singing it or whatever cuz it was a pretty open for many possibilities kind of project (I chose DTM cuz that's my specialty compared to everyone else in the class and I wanted to turn in something different), and long story short cuz there's other places where I've written it on the internet already (Discord Wink, I turned it in over 2 weeks late and still somehow go an A grade for the project on May 20th, so I guess the song isn't really that old after all (lol I just feel like May was ages ago cuz now that it's June and school, band and track are all over, it just feels feels so nice to be here and it's like i'm savoring my time and it's going by so slowly lolz (not a reference to the name of the original song xD)). Anyway, I'd be really surprised if anybody made it all the way through this terribly written block of text that I am just finishing right now at 2:46 in the morning, so I think I'm gonna end it off here haha!! There is much more LTEDTX related updates and music AWESOMENESS SOUND Canvas MIDI and MP3 content on places other than here and on my webiste / HP that I have yet to update since I made it back in January, so be on the look out for those by taking a little stroll down wherever the links listed below take you (lolz it's differently time to end this MADNESS now cuz I'm like literally half asleep!!! xD), and I hope that you look forward to more songs from me uploaded to Online Sequencer, SoundCloud, my website, Discord, and even more as much as I do!!! :D enjoy the upcoming LTEDTX AWESOMENESS!!!!!! ^^
