These are the list of (free) tools that I picked up along my journey these passed 6 years. Besides the general mixing/instrument tools that FLS11 gives me, this is a reference list of soundfonts, VSTS, and audio plugins.

This list also includes the instruments I mainly use.

SOUNDFONTS:

1. Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra [no longer available]

-Main use of strings, concert harp, flutes, and sometimes percussion.

2. 8bitsf

-Main use of piano 01, organs, bass 01, vibes, harpsichord, strings 01, and drums 01

3. Earthbound

-Main use of Marimba and sometimes "the past", still new to this one.

4. Galaxy Orchestra (not recommended)

-Main use of drum kit

5. LttPSF2 [a link to the past soundfont] (not recommended)

-never used/only checked out

6. Mario Party DS soundfont

-Main use of trombone (one of the best synthesized trombone sounds i've heard)

7. Paper Mario SF

-still new to usage, might use some of this later

8. SGM-V2.01

-main use of piano 1, 2, Honkytonk piano, acoustic bass, sines, vibraphones, still finding more use out of this vastly large soundfont.

9. SM64SF (not recommended)

-this soundfont can only have use to make mario 64 sounding stuff, not really interesting otherwise.

10. The_Ultimate Megadrive_Soundfont

- main use of square wave (the best square)

VST:

1. Piano1X - comes with 1 free instrument (highly non recommended)

2. tal-Noisemaker

-new to usage, several synth instruments. (similar to FLS Harmor)

3. fb3300

-new to usage, several synth instruments. (similar to FLS Harmless)

4. Keyzone Classic

-main use is keyzone piano, yamaha grand piano, and rhodes (this has a decent rhodes)

5. AGML2 (guitar emulation)

6. APC (drum synth instrument NOT PERCUSSION) (not recommended)

7. basic65 (difficult to explain)

-developed my own "high bass saw" which closely resembles LMMS NES Saw

-developed my own "triangular prism" which is a saw and triangle combined to sound similar to 8-bitSF harpsichord, these go good together.

AUDIO PLUGIN:

1. Ozone Imager [stereo widening]

2. Hysteresis [noise effect]

-new to usage

3. A1TriggerGate [sound step editing] - way too hard to explain.
