maybe do something where you can select the measure(s) you want to be the thumbnail/cover for a song; this could be really interesting if the beginning measures of a song are very barren, and you want people to look at the fullest part that's later on in the song. The only downside I could see from this is clickbait-y thumbnails, but other than that this would be a really cool concept.

Nah, lemme give you an example:
let's say the picture with the words is at the very last few measures of your song. Currently, OS will only show the first few beginning measures for a song in a thumbnail, but with some coding/updates, later on you would be able to select specific numbers of measures you wanna show in the thumbnail, like the picture with words at the end of the song.
You mean like the thumbnail is at Bars 69 - 71 for example?
