This may be asking for a bit much, but being able to change tempo mid song would be great. Something like a note that you place and will change the tempo to whatever your tempo slot is set to, or when you place it a pop up box comes up asking for a tempo. If you were to have no tempo changers it would be whatever your tempo slot is set to, like it is now.

Usually what I just do is change the layout of the sequence to accommodate for any tempo shift or change, like by spacing the notes further or closer or even using 1/8 or 1/16 notes for doing this if necessary. But I think the addition of a tempo changing mechanism would save a lot of time.
