This would honestly be really, really helpful for longer songs. I feel like this already exists and I just haven't noticed it yet.

Select Markers to the left/right would also be good to put along with this.

Ctrl+Home/End selects, Ctrl+Alt+Home/End deselects. You can hold Shift to keep a selection of notes without restarting the selection. Take a bit of time to figure it out and it'll make sense.
