A couple of years ago, one of my early OS projects was a cover of Kraftwerk's "The Model". I just went back to check it out, and found that it has 'inspired' a sequence that's just my track, note for note. I understand that taking someone else's idea and running with it is kind of an accepted thing here-- well, that's not entirely true. I don't really understand why that's allowed, it makes absolutely zero sense to me... but for some reason, it is. Anyway, seeing as this person has done nothing to make it their own and there's no mention of me, the person who did all the work, is there a way I can get this taken down? And if not... how come?
Yes it is possible, you ask a moderator or the site owner

Thanks!
Yes it is, just contact a moderator or the siteowner. You can find a list of them here https://onlinesequencer.net/forum/showteam.php

Dont ask the bots though of course. Also, you can find moderators, or the site owner on chat https://onlinesequencer.net/chat/

I guess you could tell the site owner, but I see it in a different way. This could go one of 2 ways. Either this person is really inspired by someone(you) and wants to add on to your work to make it better. Or they are just lazy and don't want to take the time to make their own. I don't think this person meant any harm by 'stealing' your work. I do however think that it would be right of them to mention you in 'their' project. I could be wrong though. I just like to try the easy way before resulting to violence

Well, not a single note was changed, so I really don't see 'inspiration' as being the motive. And whether or not any harm was intended, if someone does a search on 'Kraftwerk', their sequence is going to show up in the search results, alongside mine. At last check, theirs had something like 52 plays... which isn't huge, but those are plays that could have (and should have) gone to person who actually made the sequence. So you don't need to intend harm to do harm (yes, I know that referring to this as 'harm' is a stretch, but no more so than you likening the act of having it taken down to 'violence').
Yeah destroy them
ahahahaha
