I don't see why not.

The song is a good length. Maybe instead try making new songs, and focus more on composition and melody perhaps. Just a thought.
Also harmony, countermelody, bass and chords are also all interesting components of musical texture that could be considered that you could try playing around with when writing new songs.
Just an idea.
