In referring to imposing, how the sequence visually appears was not the main focus. Rather, it was meant to describe a situation with something imposing, whether it is a physical object or more abstract concept, such as a scenario someone might be in or might have to face. It can hold a positive connotation, such as being "grand" or "impressive", a negative connotation, such as "daunting" or "overwhelming", some other connotation entirely, or any combination of them.
I will also be adding this in to the main post to try and help clear up confusion.
