looking at the archives of the website, it seems to have updated in 2018 and that seems to be the same year the website saw its first surge in popularity. Also, I don't think the website would completely die off if the top navigation bar changed. it didn't die when it turned black last year.i think a couple tweaks here and there would be fine. The thing is, with the default buttons being used for "post reply" and "preview post" etc, i think it needs an overhaul

The website is fine to me. In fact I love the simple forum. It does the job perfectly. I hate newer clunky fangle-dangled forum software. Don't try to fix something that aint broke.

Agree, if your redesign of something negatively impacts its functionality, don't redesign it!!
