midi instrument mixed up

i don't know where this would apply, but i've noticed an issue, specifically with the electric guitar instrument. now, usually, the electric guitar instrument would export as a midi as the classic DOOM electric guitar, which is why i used it so much before this issue arised. now, it sounds nothing like the sort, almost like an acoustic guitar or something. i would like if someone checked this out.
