yeah i once had this software where you could draw your own 8bit waveform just by clicking and dragging. Like it would have defaults (sine wave was a sine waveform, triangle a triangle, etc.) but then you could literally click and drag across a box to draw your own waveform and see how that sounded.
maybe something like that?
(lol i realize that is maybe too much to actually implement here, but... maybe this could help to open up more ideas idk ;-;)
