is there any way to select only a few notes?

so i was making a rendition of sunslammer homestuck and the drums were taking ages so is there any way to copy and paste a loop without copying the entire instrument?

You can hold a shift key while in select mode to select multiple notes.
click on a note to select it and then hold shift while clicking other desired notes to only move/copy them

You probably could use the lock tool, It is located to the right of the instrument selector, it looks like three dashes, once you click it, a bunch of controls should show up they will have a lock icon next to their name, I hope this helped!
