Importing sound fonts

I think there should be an option to import sound fonts so we can make music that sounds like it's from a Mario or Pokémon game. That is, if such sound fonts are used.

The website doesn't use soundfont files, so that would be complicated. People would stop asking for new instruments all the time though!

If you were to import a higher-quality GM soundfont (one that would support all instruments in General MIDI,) you would essentially be uploading a 200+ MB file, which takes long. It'd be better to save the MIDI off of here and play it in a MIDI player using a MIDI synth that can support soundfonts.

And I suspect that if we were to save soundfonts on-site for future use, we'd quickly lose a lot of space on the servers
