i mean, thanks and all, but you're not really helping your cause by doing this. most of the sequences you've pointed out are old sequences that you went out of your way to search for. you're just reigniting a situation that was mostly over with.

besides, you forgot all of these:

also, if you want to become a mod (which, by the way, would be harder for you considering the fact that this thread exists,) you can always pm the staff and we'll be happy to let you help us with deleting those, as well as all of the other spammers and rule-breakers on the website.

and for note art:
the rules were rewritten to allow any note art as long as it's silent and has a melody playing.

I recently left a message for the mods to delet dis: #676421 and they haven't.
Yet some mystery mod (maybe the same one?) deleted a song to which I added box-shaped percussion (whose beat actually "fitted" with the song; wasn't just random noise).
So what I'm here to ask, again, is the following:

Why do boxes bother you more than...

- This MONSTROSITY of a sequence (headphone users beware!):

Or this one:
Or that one:
Or that n-word one:

- This Nazi flag:

And these swastikas:

- These 19 sequences of the same "POOP":
https://onlinesequencer.net/sequences?search=poop
(And other poop-related drawings)

- ETC.

You're good at moderating MY stuff, but not THESE (which I shouldn't even be listing for you, but YOU'RE WELCOME).
XD lol. I wouldn't be surprised if the poop was Jacob.

The moderating priorities are rather confusing. It's like a janitor ignoring the 19 dumps that a kid took and saying, "Oh, those? They're from last year. They've dried up. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta scrape a handful of decorative stickers off someone's locker. They're not supposed to be there, and are overshadowing the lockers."

And I'm like, "forget stickers, get rid of the STINKERS! You're turning a blind eye to dry poop, messy graffiti and, apparently, a room that's hiding gallons of puke (i.e. that snapshot)!"

Apart from the colorful language, I don't see anything wrong with this thread. I mean, it is offering opinions and suggestions for something to be improved, isn't it? (and, by the way, I wouldn't have made it exist if there was the existence of reasonable moderating)

Also, good on whoever rewrote that rule.

i would like to deconstruct the points you've made

your false analogy:
what you're essentially doing is comparing my work to a janitor's work (thanks for that, it makes me feel great about what i do here) and adding that i'm deleting the wrong things.

the reason that this argument isn't entirely valid is because you've tried to sugarcoat your own creations (the stickers) and burden everything else (the stinkers) when they are both breaking the same rule: NO SPAM SEQUENCES. spam sequences get deleted no matter what, no exceptions. the moment that there's an exception, you're starting the buildup of more and more of a gray area; and at that point, nobody's going to know if something's breaking the rules.

the "dried crap" analogy doesn't hold that much value either. what you're basically saying is that I should search for some sequences made long, long ago and delete them. the problem is that it's not on the "top priority" or "relevant" list of sequences that we need to delete. i'll happily delete rule-breaking sequences dating back to 2013 if it means you'll be quiet about the rule-breaking sequences being made in 2018.

about the screenshot:
it is my fault on not telling you in advance, but that screenshot was taken the day i made the post with the screenshot. those sequences weren't a problem when your sequences were, and it pains me to realize that it needed to be explained, but i'll take the blame for it anyway. and I don't want to call anyone out, but the reason those sequences may still be there is because i talked to Jacob about it and he said they'd be mass-deleted. that one screenshot isn't everything, either; there are more than four(!) pages of sequences like that. however, i still managed to delete a hundred of them until it was time i check the forums/chat/etc. So i'm not turning a blind eye to your "gallons of puke." i'm just one "janitor," if you will.

your colorful language:
while i do agree that you have some suggestions worth considering, those suggestions would have been much more well-received had you not used coarse language in the first place. while you may not see anything wrong with the thread, the others siding against you, do.

This isn't as much as a site-wide rule as it is a rule of life to help you out in the future. if you really insist on writing a complaint to anyone in your lifetime, it should be in your best interest to treat whoever you're writing to with the utmost respect. it'll give yourself a lot more credibility, and maybe the recipient will be more inclined to take you seriously if you took your time to write a sincere and honest letter to them.

your attack on the moderation team:
you seem to be contradicting yourself multiple times in the same paragraph. first you told me that my moderation job was terrible since i deleted your rule-breaking sequences instead of leaving them alone and deleting some other rule-breaking sequences created years ago--then you attack the entire moderation team and say that the work we do is unreasonable--and then you try to add in a silver lining by saying that the addition of the new rule was good on moderators' part? i'd like to know what your thought process was when typing this insult down.

oh, and guess what? i rewrote the rule because i felt bad after deleting some stuff that shouldn't have and didn't want to repeat the mistake. i know you won't appreciate the rule knowing that i wrote it after this debacle is all said and done, but the least i can ask of you is to respect it and avoid another argument like this. you're a good person at heart, i know it.

Ayy... that screenshot contains some test sequences I made! But the mods, instaid of deleting the SEQUENCES, deleted the BUG REPORT I made about it. On account of it promoting bad behavior. Actually, that is a reasonable excuse, but still. WHY NOT DELETE THE SEQUENCES TOO
