You could also try sending him a present that has a note reading "Hey, Jacob. Can you change my username on OS?"

More serious answer: If you're going to ping Jacob about this, be nice, say please, and put the name you want in the first message. Don't make him have to reply "what name do you want". He gets a lot of these messages and they get annoying after a while.
