Hi there,
I am quite new to this community, so before I get into depth about my question, I'll quickly introduce myself. I have very limited musical training, though I have been slowly teaching myself what works and what doesn't by using this website and a Roland JUNO-DI synth. Below, I have included a number of my most developed songs. Mind you, the first is most definitely the worst... And the last (most recent) is still a pile of trash. Anyhow, here they are (any and all advice is appreciated).

- 9/23/16 - "Synth Magic" (in retrospect, it is not aptly named)
This song was the first I had ever composed-- ever. Although it is very rough, simplistic, and naively written, it is pretty good for a first-timer (and I didn't even whine about the limitations, either; I could get political about how we have a society of complainers, but I'll leave that enthusiasm for Reddit).
- 12/13/16 - "Until Tomorrow" (<3 major revisions)
"Until Tomorrow" was heavily inspired by Ramin Djawadi's score of Westworld (2016), specifically "Sweetwater." In my opinion, I don't really like this song much.
- 12/28/16 - "Destruction of Yousifus" (<5 major revisions)
The song originally began as a way to experiment with chords, but I turned into a full-fledged song (kind of). Again, I am dissatisfied with its quality as I look back at it.
- 01/06/17 - "Hammering The Nails" (<3 major revisions; unfinished)
By far, I am the most pleased with this piece out of all the others. I don't know if you've picked up on it, but I tend to enjoy my most recent pieces of music (this also happens with the short stories I have written, although one of them did end up winning a statewide essay contest).
- 01/28/17 - "Suffocans intra Terra" (Latin-to-English is "Suffocating inside the Ground"; 2 minor revisions; WIP)
This song was written to accompany a scene in a story of mine, this scene- of course- is a man suffocating under the ground... as a result of being buried alive by his former friend.
