Dedicated timpani?

I know the 2023 drum kit already has three notes of timpani which you can squeeze maybe 1-2 octaves out of with detune but I still think it'd be useful to have a dedicated timpani instrument that allows for a wider range of notes. Even if it was just an instrument that was limited to one octave, you could still squeeze 3 out of it by using detune. I'm working on a cover of Wing Fortress Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which uses timpanis as its percussion. There's no other instrument that provides quite the right sound, even the timpanis already in the site. Maybe something lower or with a wide range of notes for any type of situation?
