Hey all! I am a huge fan of the Great Ace Attorney Duology (As the pfp suggests) and I wanted to try and recreate some of the songs, many of which feature heavy use of the accordion. However, Online Sequencer does not have an accordion sound font, so I was forced to try and make one. However, this website is actually pretty powerful for sound design with the EQ, Distortion, and Reverb/Delay features, so I was able to get the sound almost perfect!

As you can see on this sequence at roughly measure 6 of this sequence I made: , I was able to recreate the accordion sound in the original song almost perfectly. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_q...+objection

The community here is super friendly, so I wanna try give back by showing you guys how to make this.To get this sound, you are going to want to do the following:

1. Use the "Brass" sound and input all the notes you want for the accordion. I'd recommend doing this first before finishing the sound design as this requires overlapping with multiple sound fonts, and this can be a pain in the ass to arrange after the following steps.

2. Copy the Brass sound and paste it in place, directly over the first layer of brass notes.

3. WHILE the second layer of brass notes are still highlighted, change their sound font to a 8-Bit Sawtooth Synth.

4. Then, go into the Advanced mixer on the Brass sound, and add a "Limit" distortion and turn the meter up to around 80%

OPTIONAL: You can add reverb here, but it may depend on the rest of your mix.

5. EQ the brass as follows: High at 50%, Mid at 45%, and Low at 85%.

6. Go into the Advanced Mixer for the 8-Bit Sawtooth Synth

7. Turn the volume down to your liking, but it should be much lower than the Brass one relative to the mix.

8. EQ the Sawtooth as follows: High at 50%, Mid at 85%, and Low at 65% or so.

For this specific track, I also arranged them as an octave, but that may just be specific to the sound of the accordion in this track (it's a little more baroque and almost growly in sound). You can play with it to try and get a more gentle accordion sound. The sound of the accordion is pretty resonant, but there's no resonance knob like there is on a synth, so you get some of the aerophone quality from the Brass midi sound. Happy arranging! Smile
