The world is an open notebook for Otis, who serves as Writemypaperbro’s Feature Writer on Judaism as well as a Contributing Writer on travel, pet health and other topics. Although he has only been publishing articles for approximately 15 years, he’s been writing in one form or another since he was a child, and has had an insatiable interest in Jewish observance, traditions and history most of his life.

Jewish Culture and Traditions
Otis believes that there is no one Jewish viewpoint, and strives to reflect the plurality of Judaism’s many beliefs, traditions and customs in his articles and blogs. From the feedback he has received from readers and publishers around the world, he has learned that his readers generally want two things:

They want access to straight-forward, no-nonsense material on Jewish authoritative texts and traditions that can help them lead a meaningful Jewish life.
They crave information about 21st Century changes in global Jewish observance, traditions, culture and viewpoints.
In short, they want to be able to learn about what others do and think so they can decide for themselves what they believe.

Global Travel and Customs
Otis’s interest in travel also reflects his viewpoint that every culture and viewpoint deserves respect and appreciation. He has lived in six countries and traveled in 23, and hopes to experience many more in the future. These days he writes primarily on Northwest Canada and U.S. travel and recreation. His articles and content have been published in several major online publications such as B.C. Adventure, World Travel Guide and Go Northwest, as well as a number of print publications.

When he isn’t writing about Judaism and other topics for Writemypaperbro, he serves as the regional travel writer for NileGuide’s Central/Okanagan, BC Rockies and North BC sections, and maintains a blog on travel destinations in the Canadian Rockies. He also writes poetry, which has been published in the U.S. and Mexico.

His residency these days is split between B.C. Canada, where he finds his roots, and Idaho, U.S. where he helps to care for a much-loved family member. His family includes his wife and two German Shepherds, who teach his every day the joy and value of living life to the fullest.
