Pókemon Lithium occurs in the Eterna region, a place where technological advancement and ambiental care are seen as two sides of the same coin. Some pókemon have adapted to the odd conditions of the land and sea, while others are entirely native to the region.
It also posseses an even weirder League consisting of 12 Gyms, an Elite Six and (most surprising of all), TWO champions at one time.
The cherry on top of Eterna's weirdness would be the unique typing that some of its inhabitant pókemon carry: the "Digital" type! Being super-effective against the likes of Dragons, Fairies and Dark types, it also carries weakenesses to Ice, Electric, and Bug types.
Some other types had a few changes, such as Psychic now being neutral against Steel or Normal being strong against Fairy, but that's more on the technical side.
