Delay is an audio effect in which the source sound is repeated over however the delay is set to.
In an OS context, there is only one button and is not editable. However, in other DAWs, there are a lot more options that you can use to edit the length, feedback, mix, and more.
You can induce an artificial delay by creating "ghost notes" that decrease in volume as the delay progresses.
