Full Version: Does anyone know of a good substitute for orchestral hits?

Some sequences I want to compose use orchestral hits, but I haven't found a good enough substitute.
steel drum, detune cello, detune church organ.

Detune French horn with nova reverb makes for a somewhat convincing low choir sometimes.

other than that. I use the violin, and cello in their intended roles mostly.

i also use smooth synth to supplement sustain

currently experimenting with Orchestral styles myself so happy to share any tips i come across

Steel drums, violins, and cello with drums usually does the job alright. It takes some messing around with
