Looking forward to participate

Feeling really confident about this one, might not be done but even if it isn't I'm genuinely content with the work I produced here

I don't expect this to win. I made it a while ago and I think it would fit for the contest.

RE: 2023 September Monthly Contest - Mr. Magicman - 09-22-2023

YIKE i thought i entered this already oopsies. You can see by the dates that i havent touched these today though so hopefully it's fine otherwise i understand if it doesnt make it in 😅

For my first entry i wrote a fairly light, happier song, structured more like a generic pop-rock song you'd hear on the radio or something. basic chords, simple bassline, easy melody, all that jazz. I worked pretty hard on it and i think its kinda catchy :) so hopefully it does well. I actually did start lyricwriting for this song, with the story being about persevering through depression, hence, "Chasing the Sun" where the 'sun' is happiness and content.

For the second entry, here's a fairly old song i wrote that is very near and dear to my heart, i wrote this song from the perspective of a concerned friend trying to stop their best friend from making a very poor decision. The begging and pleading of the chorus is juxtaposed with the rather happy, hopeful post-chorus and indifferent verses. (plus there's a cool piano solo near the end)
