Question  09-16-2025, 05:13 AM
I have a question for you OS geniuses, how exactly do you make a grace note in OS? I assume it will require a little bit of manipulation, but I don't know how to do it. Is it possible or am I out of luck.

You can lower note velocity by holding alt , then pressing - or = on your keyboard

What miracle is this? This giant tree.
It stands ten thousand feet high
But doesn't touch the ground. Yet it stands.
Its roots must hold the sky.

Yes, also alt+scroll wheel. I should have specified I was confused about the timing about it. Example, I'm making La Campanella in this and working on the 13th measure but can't figure out the grace note's timing.

You can change the timing grid size at the bottom of the sequencer grid, there is a little dropdown menu that says 1/4 (or whatever grid size is currently selwcted). Alternatively, you also can set the grid size in the browser console with the command grid=1/4

Can it go past 1/32?

Yes but for some reason on OS grid=1 is a quarter note, so 1/32 would be a really small note. Set the grid to 1/8 for 32nd notes

Not 32nd notes, 1/32, as in 1/32 OS grid. Is it possible?

Cool, the dropdown doesn't have the option, and last I checked the console shortcut is Ctrl+shift+j and it's not working q_p
