I want to add more synth instruments, since they support longer notes and don't use any bandwidth, but I don't know anything about audio synthesis. If you can come up with a JS function that plays a sound given the note name and length I might decide to make it a new instrument! Your JS is either too cryptic and/or I am too illiterate. Can you specify what variable(s) controls the sound wave?
Also, I researched 8-bit noise channels and you should try setting the sample value to a random number from a pool of discrete numbers to achieve 8-bit noise.
