Memories Rain Down v2 is a remake of a sad little song I made earlier this year, featuring the old rain effects Guest made last year. It starts out as a sad flute/piano piece but picks up in intensity halfway through. It's very close to the original (I think I just changed instrumentation and balancing) but I didn't want to go and change a 7 month old sequence. Please enjoy! I'll be back this month
"Katie," I call out to her "Where you goin' so fast? Good times are gonna slow you down" Maybe it aint for me to say but I wonder how long she's gonna last runnin' round on the dirty side of town
Walkin' in stilettos on the edge of a knife
One false step and she's lost to the night One false step and she's lost to the night
Hidden in the shadows All the ones who lost the light
One more face lost to the night Lost without a trace to the night
Some never see the danger signs Some are just runnin' away - hey hey No one ever thinks they'll be the next but in the shadows, the night stalks its prey - yeah
"Hey Katie," I call out to her "I haven't seen you in so long Hard times it seems have taken their toll Baby, won't you take my hand?" But she can't tell right from wrong anymore Look into her eyes, look into an empty soul - oh whoa
Walkin' in stilettos on the edge of a knife
One false step and she's lost to the night One more child lost to the night
Hidden in the shadows - yeah All the ones who lost the light
It's too late She's lost the fight One more child lost to the night When you can't tell wrong from right Lost to the night
I remixed the remix. Now it's back to normal. ~Mitch Hedberg
