The problem is sonetimes pressing save a copy does not save a copy, but saves to the original sequence

It matters whether the sequence is yours or not though. That's what I'm asking about.

I think the current behavior is that if you save a copy of someone else's sequence, it will actually save a copy, but if you try to save a copy of your own sequence, it just saves the existing sequence.

Are you guys talking about the latter case? Do you want to save a copy of your own sequence? I think Jacob mentioned that this was doable, but just not implemented at the moment.
