OS-CRAFT INFORMATION
First of all, what is OS-craft?
OS-craft is the name of the Minecraft server dedicated to Online Sequencer. We started hosting some unofficial Bedrock edition realms running for Online Sequencer members to play on about a year ago, but a little more recently we realised that we would get a much bigger audience by making it a Java server. After we came to the realisation that we would lose a big part of our previous community, the Bedrock players, we decided to take a deeper look into crossplay servers, but unfortunately the plugins required for this caused frequent crashes. Therefore OS-craft is currently only available for Java players.
What sort of server will OS-craft be?
OS-craft is a survival server with as little additions to vanilla Minecraft as possible. As mentioned before, the server is for Minecraft Java edition which will probably bring quite a big group of players together. Therefore we have a few basic rules so that everyone can have fun playing, without the fear of one's progress being completely wiped out by another player when you are gone for a few hours. All of the rules regarding the server can be found below. We will try to keep up with the most up-to-date version of the game, currently being 1.18.2.
SERVER RULES AND SETTINGS
- The server will be held within the survival mode of Minecraft on hard difficulty, no cheats.
- Teams are allowed, but there will not be special roles for these teams on the discord server or tags on the Minecraft server.
- No grieving, stealing, causing intentional server lag or randomly killing players will be allowed.
How do I join OS-craft?
The server IP will be available on the OS-craft discord once the server releases. It can also be found at the bottom of this post. In order to actually join though, you'll need to be on the server whitelist. We are working with a whitelist to keep the place as safe and organised as possible. To get your spot on the whitelist, either make sure your java username is in the server-whitelisting channel on the discord or respond to this message/forum PM me with your username (forum PMs might be whitelisted sooner). Once you are whitelisted, you'll receive the green whitelisted role on the discord server or a confirmation forum PM. If you have any difficulties getting on the server because the you get told that you arent whitelisted (while we did let you know that you are), let us know and we will plan in a moment where we have the whitelist turned off so you can join and we can whitelist you in-game. During this process, any player not having their Java username in either the discord or as a response to this forum post, will immediately get kicked. These moments can also be planned for users having a username that is not recognized by Minecraft.
How do teams function on the server?
Anyone can create their own team on the server and decide themselves what their team goal is. Some teams might focus on big projects together while others simply focus on survival. There will be no special roles for these teams and all teams have to follow the basic rules. Only if 2 teams (or players) want to start a war, the rule regarding pvp turns invalid BUT ONLY between the groups agreeing to ignore this rule.

Have fun playing everyone
