When the shopping cart is in motion, it is translated forward as the air particles surrounding it go around and between the gaps in its mesh surface
the air particles that go closest to the center of the cart hit or go around the user of the shopping cart, whom we will call stolas.
Stolas proceeds to the dairy isle, where just as he picks up a gallon of milk, the shopping cart permanently puts him in an alternate dimension for no reason.
then he gets hit by a car by popular demand
disgruntled (and likely dead) stolas remains in this alternate plane of existence along with the many dads who have never returned from the dairy isle, leaving us forever wondering when he will come back
and that, my friends, is the aerodynamics of a shopping cart
