It sounds identical as long as you set the length right, the only reason I didn't just replace the old sound was to avoid affecting the sound of older sequences.

because of this, if you REALLY want to use smooth synth (classic) you can type selectInstrument(3) in the console [f12] to turn a selected note into Smooth Synth (Classic)
