Any of the drum kits. Apparently it's a relatively common thing around here that percussion is difficult and melody is funner and easier, but for me it's just the opposite.

I'm all about the piano and slap bass too. They just add such a cool vibe to my tracks. Drum kits are a must for rhythm, and 8 bits can add a unique touch.
