i think the mods may be fed up with announcements in chat saying once again i've either posted or replied to a thread. honestly i think globally announcing all thread activity is annoying and can be challenging for some folks who want to have long debates in the forums but dont want to because they know it would interfere with chat that much. But on the bright side its easier to deal with crazy bots.
