this is equivalent to 3/4, just longer

6/8 and 3/4 take up the same amount of length per bar, the only difference between them is where the emphasis is on the notes, for example, 6/8 is a similar emphasis as 2/4 triplets at a different tempo. You also could just ignore the thick lines on the grid all together and use whatever time sig you want
