The Dragonfire Collection {DECEMBER 2024 CONTEST ENTRY}
If you hear a silence or hear it fading out, wait until it goes completely silent and then listen for 10 more seconds. I have multiple parts in this song.
PART ONE: CALM BEFORE THE STORM
It's a calm day in the streets of New York. There's about the amount of traffic you expect less than the amount you expected. You walk into a coffee shop and order a caramel iced. As you sip, the sky grows darker... and darker...
PART TWO: EMERGENCY
A dragon swoops in, breaking a window on the World Trade Center. Another dragon fails to avoid in and lands with a smack on the side of the tower. It begins to topple. You throw your coffee behind you and get the fuck out of there. You steal keys from a pedestrian and run into their car. You drive off as fast as you can, but you can't escape, and the rubble is too much. The roof of your car caves in, and it breaks down. You begin to suffocate.
PART THREE: FLIGHT
You wake up in a cloudy place. You immediately begin to panic and get up and run. You then trip...
but you never fall. You're forced to stare at the rubble beneath. It's the worst thing to happen in American history--the city is burning. And that's when you realize that you were living inside of a 9/11 joke this entire time.
