I think you got that vibe perfectly at the beginning, but the rest of it sounds more like someone recovering from the loss over time. But, that's not a bad thing, it's a really really beautiful and touching song.
I really like this, feels like someone lost a lover and this is in like a montage of them slowly becoming better
