Phantom Lights V
So... it's been about a year since I created Phantom Lights v1.
It was the first "real" MegaIovania replacement I made for a full-fledged AU.
In a way, It also marks the point where I started focusing a lot more on the quality of what I composed.
Basically every single composing trick I knew at the time went into the song's creation process, and I see it as a benchmark of what I've learned to do with OS.
In addition to that, Mashuptale: Remastered still holds a place in my heart due to it being not only my oldest AU I ever wrote down, but also my first full OST uploaded to this site.
Basically, without MTR, I probably would've stuck to just making random Megalo replacements with no concern for writing stories behind them.
This year has also been one hell of a ride for me. Several factors have created a perfect storm (heh) that has been trying to kill off any and all forms of creative endeavor I've grown to love.
... And you know what I said to that?
"Screw it."
I kept pushing through. I've had enough with people telling me to "monetize" or to "profesionalize" my work already.
It'll grow to that point when it's ready.
No earlier than that.
Happy 1 year anniversary, Mashuptale.
