The Stalk
It's cold...
The main entry point to the ground city of Tau Ceti's snapped space elevator, the Stalk. Narrow halls with tall marble walls stretch far into the sky where they greet one another with the skylight coming from above, what little there is.
It feels cramped. The walkways are too narrow for their height. The white hue of the Sestryl carbon walls drain the world of any sense of color or feeling. Nonmatter where you go in the megastructure, you feel drained. Wander too far from the stalk and the lights begin to dim. Dim until all you can't see anything other than the dusted over ceiling windows, and that's only if you're on the surface level. Keep walking. Darkness is all that awaits you. Empty dark halls, so it's best to stay near the center where there's light.
From what you hear, the dark halls lead off into infinity. Only those chosen can reach their end, a place where you can turn off the voices of the ones above, whoever they may be. They're the only ones free from this world, assuming there is a world beyond these walls.
I hear the NRPC is in town and in need of hard workers. I don't really know if I trust them but do I really have a choice? If I don't get some ICE soon, I'll have to decide whether I eat tonight or have a safe place to sleep, and I am not venturing into the darkness to find somewhere to sleep.

Cool
I would cut out everything up to 49. The first part is just unnecessary. Also, the jazz guitar melody sounds off-putting for the sci-fi setting. Maybe turn it into a synth pluck?
hey btw half the song is missing.
