Chat is a feature on OS, built in the fall of 2013. It is used to chat with other users from Online Sequencer.
Security
One must create an account on OS, and wait 24 hours before posting for spam and security reasons.
Also, to prevent spam, a 5-second cooldown is put in place.
Mutes
If a user misbehaves in chat, moderators have the right to mute these users. It can vary between a few minutes to a week or even permanently, depending on the rule and severity. Until 2021, permanent mutes didn't exist.
