Because I wanted a free no-download music composer. This was like the 5th result. This fitted the bill, but now I prefer Bosca Ceoil because it is both simple and user-friendly, and it also has features like repeating segments of a song that minimizes effort and lag. I agree with others though that this site has its pros even over Bosca Ceoil. While BC is great for polished music, OS is great for trying to make a melody. It is much easier to write a melody in OS. However, I never knew about BC at the time, and so the positives blew it out of the water compared to the competition.

When I found Online Sequencer, I wasn't exactly looking for a site to create music; I just liked watching the DONG videos. When I first started making sequences in November 2016, I was just using OS to recreate songs (poorly). I didn't make my first original sequence until after 5 months of using OS, and even then it was just a short loop. But that started a long chain of originals, especially recently, as I have been cranking them out more frequently than ever. I now have nearly 30 original sequences (wow, what a great achievement). But the simplicity and charm of OS has really helped me develop my style. I feel like if I hadn't found OS, I wouldn't have as much of a passion for music as I do now. Also 8-bit and reverb are freakin awesome.

In early 2019 me and my friends decided to make a sort of music group together and I scrambled around to find possible sites or accessible online sites to make music on. Some months later I found OS (not before finding chrome music lab lmao). I really liked the UI and how easy everything was. I was afraid of asking for assistance around the chat back then but I did pop in a few times in the forum. I think OS is just the best MIDI editor online that has the most possibilities. Back then, what really appealed to me was the fact there were no limits to how much you can compose. I didn't really care about sound design I just liked how concise the UI is and how easy it was to just make music happen. It's also the reason I developped a liking for music in the first place. So, thank you OS. You are like no other I'm gonna move on to DAWs soon but so far OS has been the best online sequencer I could find online. I mean the fact it means so much to me and so many other people that have used it as their main way of making music for so many years tells a lot about it's status. And with recent updates, it has became so much more easier to make professional sounding music. It's like no other.

The same reason as Kirbyderp. Well, to be honest, before I go there, I found it on a site search. Then I said, "Wow, Jacob must've made it so easy to make music without paying." Speaking of that, I'm with Kirbyderp on this one, very very very user friendly, and very easy to use, and there is nothing like Online Sequencer to stick with at this time. I like everything there. Very good place.
