I too had this idea back in 2018. (look at my thread from then here: https://onlinesequencer.net/forum/showth...p?tid=2605)

But like Liam said, even though it wouldn't be hard to code, there are a couple of other issues involved. There wouldn't be anything stopping people from uploading clips of swear words or clips of copyrighted material. An entire system would have to be put in place for moderating each new uploaded sound, and that would be a lot of work for the developers.

Not to mention some ofthese sound libraries can be hundreds of GB

You can just try to recreate the sounds, there are a variety of effects and instruments now, so it might be possible to recreate it as close as possible.
