There is an effect called granular synthesis where a sample is chopped up into really tiny parts and those parts are either made longer or shorter and overlap slightly to allow you to speed up or slow down a sample without affecting its pitch. Youtube uses this with its speed control actually, you can hear the grains of the granular synthesis if you put it on the lowest speed and ot sounds kind of metallic and weird. It would be a really cool effect to have on OS with a slider that either speeds up the samples or slows them down, without affecting the pitch like detune does.
Another thing that would be cool is a white noise you can layer with the instruments with a slider. If you use distortion with a sample and white noise you can get some really interesting textures. You can also get insanely hard hitting subs. I would assume this to be relatively easy to add as well.
It would be cool to add a sine FM to every instrument too if thats possible
