I've been messing with the new lucent choir instrument, and I've noticed that many of the notes sound more like a violin or viola, and it really doesn't mesh well with the other choir notes, nor does it sound like a choir. Particularly notes D5, C#5, A#4, A4, and G#4. It really bummed me out too, I was excited to have choral sounds available but those notes sounding off was a real dealbreaker.

All the higher notes sound like strings to me, I'm assuming you mean those? The lower 2.5 octaves are working much better. I've tried to integrate the stringy-octave into my songs by having those sections mostly disparate from the rest of the choir notes.

Its not really a choir, perhaps we can rename it. LucentTear can only sing so high so the higher notes are just pitch shifted up. I figured it was more convenient than detuning them every time. I've attempted to make all the notes sound as similar as possible but each recording sounded very different.

I was also planning on making something similar to UTAU for OS but its a LOOOOOOOOOT of work

In my opinion LucentTear is still pretty useful
